Maharashtra Govt Health Scheme Implementation in Karnataka Villages: Siddaramaiah Opposes
There have been allegations that the Maharashtra government has released ₹54 crore for the implementation of projects in the villages of Karnataka.
In this background, Siddaramaiah has taken a series of tweets and criticized the BJP government led by Basavaraj Bommai.
Apart from demanding the central government to sack the Shinde government, he also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who is yet to respond. The Shinde government recently announced the implementation of its flagship health program 'Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jana Arogya Yojana' in disputed villages. Karnataka said the Mahajan Commission report is final and accepted. However, a fierce controversy arose after the neighboring state announced that it would implement a government program in Karnataka's villages.
Siddaramaiah criticized that the Maharashtra government is going to provide a program called Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jana Arogya Yojana to 865 villages within the borders of Karnataka.
How can the central government remain silent even though the government of one state is interfering unnecessarily in the affairs of another state? The BJP government in Karnataka is not opposing this. Are central and state governments dead?
He said that there is a doubt coming. "Many villages in Maharashtra are not happy with their government and want to join Karnataka. In this case, can the neighboring state intervene to solve their problems? The Mahajan report is final regarding the demarcation of Karnataka and Maharashtra borders and there is no question of giving away an inch of our state's land to anyone else,' he said.
